How did you not know native Indians had slaves!?
A water project with a Mister Swimmer. I thought this was gunna be fake.
What!? I thought only white people had slaves!? I am shocked!
that’s very interesting. as much as i love history, i had no idea about this. will absolutely be doing a deep dive, thanks for sharing
The majority of Americans would not just be shocked but would not believe the true history of slavery throughout history across the planet.
Ross Swimmer and water project. I wonder if the guy can swim
Beautiful family
Oohh! 😮 That's nuts. Fascinating yes. That's just nuts!! Cherokee had slaves TOO!! Oh my. Love this reporters work !!
Gorgeous art!
Every race has been slaves throughout history even now middle eastern countries still has slaves
i look totaly white and im a cherokee child desendent
Interesting fact - not too far back in history, Africans had white slaves too.
Every race all over the world had slaves at one time or another, and Yes, even Blacks had slaves.❤ History can be very interesting, when we dig for it.
Black people also had slaves in America. Not only European and American Indians.
Hey. I recognize Mr. Ed!! He teaches the language classes online :)
It is fascinating. There is so much that was left out of the history books in school. We basically got a whitewashed version of history. For those of you that don't understand "whitewashed", it is slaked lime and chalk plus a couple of other ingredients. It was used extensively on buildings and still is in Greece. It is a good reflective surface and is antibacterial.
Yesterday & today they all ran to greet me 😂 That's scary !! Get wells to HRH Princess Royal ❤
Looks great!!!
Thanks for uploading!!
Everyone in America had the ability to own slaves.
Oh wow! So fascinating!
History should teach the truth about slavery-every country had slaves and different cultures and races were slaves. América was the first country to find slavery wrong!
Unfortunately slavery is as old as mankind. ALL ethnicities have engaged in slavery. And in many ways it’s still goes on today. Primarily women and children are the victims today.
A lot of historical facts are not teached until more advanced studies like college level classes... And since not everybody goes to college and even less take advanced history classes, A LOT of people don't even know facts about slavery like this or that the africans brought to colonies on boats were ALREADY slaves in their home country, sold/traded to europeans... europeans didn't set foot inside the continent until way later, during the colonialism era... so, africans met them at ports and brought THEIR slaves and war prisoners...
I feel like our Cherokee grandmas are that one source of security we could always rely on. To make sure we were always fed and looked after. Miss you grandma
Hello, Sam Ford! 💜💜💜

Truth is there's more we "Don't Know" than well ever know in this Life. ❤️✡️✝️❤️
❤️ 💙 💜 💖
I have some Cherokee in me too, I'm so light they consider me white, but when I get out in the sun, I tan real fast when other white people get out in the sun they get burned, my Dad said I only have 10 percent Cherokee in me !!!
Everyone owned slaves at one point in time, and they weren't all black people either. There were no government support for poor people and if you couldn't support yourself you would become someone's slave.
Awesome! Didn’t know this myself ❤
Here is an important FYI, everybody's people enslaved others at one time or another. Every single person on this planet is decided from someone who was either a slave or a slave owner. I do love a little clips on ancestry, Especially on surnames so thank you very much!
I never knew that. Thanks for informing me.
I'm writing a book. In the forward I make a statement that would be virtually impossible to disprove. "Slavery has happened to every people and has been done by every people, since Cain left the Garden of Eden. "
I knew , more kids should have paid attention in class . But im only part ojibou so what do i know .
All cultures, starting in biblical times, once had slaves.
Yes, after the abolition of slaves. Tribes would not give up their slaves.
My father was black and Cherokee and i have no clue how to find out more about it
ANY free man could buy slaves... European, African, chinese, indian, mexican ..ANYONE free
I learned something new today.
I mean I know Africans (slaves) and African Americans that escaped often sought and found solace in the tribes be it, choctaw, Cherokee, or muscogee/creek and many others. I know when they were cataloging for the rolls it was the whites that decided to categorize those with darker skin on different rolls
I knew about this and this was an issue going back to at least the 1820's among the five civilized tribes.
Very important information!! I’ve lived in North East Texas & Oklahoma all my life & I’ve never heard of this!
“Indians” weren’t considered people of colour!
How come you don't hear anything about the American Indians in Major League baseball Major League baseball ought to be ashamed of yourself
You didn't. It's no secret. Blah
Como se dice te amo
Beautiful home!!!
How could they be free then and enslaved today?
